Promising Trailer Of ‘Parched’ Proves That Bollywood Is On The Right Track

“The shortest distance between a human being and the truth is a story.”

— Anthony de Mello

The art of storytelling in Bollywood has been phenomenal over the years. Keeping the ‘masala’ aside, let’s keep those movies in focus which give a perfect reality-check. Moreover, these ‘sensibly-notable’ movies are often underrated, which is definitely uncalled for. Speaking of ‘sensibly-notable’ minus the underrating, it’s the ultimate message the movie wishes to deliver.

Leena Yadav‘s ‘Parched‘ showcases the penultimate message which demands to be heard by its audience.

‘Parched’ is a story of four ordinary women– Rani, Lajjo, Bijli and Janaki set in the heart of parched rural landscape of Rajasthan, India.

It traces the bittersweet tale. We see them unapologetically talking about men, sex, and life as they struggle with their individual boundaries to face their demons and stage their own personal wars.

The movie stars Radhika Apte, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Sayani Gupta, Suvreen Chawla, and many more.

The movie has already been released in 7 countries abroad and screened at 24 international film channels.

The movie is releasing nationwide on September 23, 2016.
