“One Life to Live” soap actor Nathaniel Marston died at a Reno Hospital on November 11, 2015. He was 40.
Best known for his roles in “As the World Turns,” the actor suffered severe injuries with crushed vertebrae in a car crash on October 30, 2015. Since then, he has been on life support.
The demise of the actor was confirmed by mother Elizabeth Jackson through a post on Facebook.
The police believe that the actor may have fallen asleep while driving and flipped his truck multiple times. He was thrown out from the vehicle from the windshield, which led to massive injuries.
The mother of the actor also had released a press statement earlier on the same day, when she said that there were complications in a surgery that were performed on November 4. She also stated that Marston may live his life as a quadriplegic, owing to the injuries.
She added in her recent Facebook post that Marston was not responding to treatment and his bodily functions failed to support him.
On a sad note she also wrote, “Had Nathaniel lived he would have required a ventilator and would never have been able to utter one more word and would have been sentenced to life as a quadriplegic.
“A condition that Nate would never have been able to tolerate. By God’s love and mercy, Nathaniel was spared this living hell.”
Marston is survived by his wife Rita Bias and mother.
Deepest condolences to the family and hope his soul rests in peace.
