The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has recently been updated on Xbox One X. In addition to two distinct graphics modes that take advantage of the additional power of the console that is available, the patch has also introduced support for HDR technology, which will also debut on PlayStation 4 Pro during 2018.

Unfortunately, the PC version seems to be excluded. Marcin Momot, the community manager of CD Projekt RED, stated on Twitter that at the moment the introduction of the support of HDR patch on the PC version is not planned.

This is certainly bad news for all players with a hardware that supports HDR technology, waiting anxiously after the announcement for the console versions.

In short, for now, there will be no HDR patches for PC. Some players complained about it in response to the post of Momot, but the protests were objectively contained.

Xbox One X version of the CD Projekt title has a dynamic resolution ranging from 1800p to 2160p and runs at 30 frames per second in 4K mode. While activating the Performance mode on Xbox One X the makes the game to run at 1080p and 35-45 frames per second inside the city, but still, it cannot reach 60 frames per second in the open areas during the combat phases.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The fourth chapter is not currently in the plans of the company, as the studio is focusing on the development of the ambitious Cyberpunk 2077: the engine of the game is ready, and apparently will also provide drivable vehicles.
